These Terms of Service govern your use of the Jacalyn Allen website and everything we provide through it: our American Heart Association training courses and our travel planning services. By using the site or booking with us, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
Jacalyn Allen is an Oklahoma-based practice providing AHA certification training and travel planning services. Throughout these terms, "we," "us," and "Jacalyn Allen" refer to the practice; "you" refers to the person using the site or booking our services.
2. What we offer
- Heartsaver courses: CPR, AED, and first aid training for community and workplace learners.
- BLS Provider courses: Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers and students.
- BLS Instructor courses: Instructor-level training and mentoring for qualified providers.
- Travel planning: Curated itinerary design and booking coordination for leisure and group travel.
3. Purchases and payment
Class fees are due at registration to reserve your seat. Travel planning service fees are quoted before any work begins; supplier costs (airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, and tickets) are charged according to each supplier's own terms. Payments are processed by secure third-party processors; we never store your full card number. Prices are stated in United States dollars.
4. Delivery of services
Certification cards are issued according to American Heart Association guidelines after successful completion of all course requirements. Travel itineraries and documents are delivered electronically as supplier confirmations are received.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Training classes: We require at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel a class seat. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or no-shows, may forfeit the seat payment or incur a rescheduling fee, because your seat was reserved and held for you.
Travel services: Our planning and service fees are non-refundable once work on your trip has begun. Supplier deposits, payments, and refunds are governed entirely by each supplier's own cancellation policies. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for every trip.
6. Certification requirements
Certification requires full attendance and successful demonstration of all required skills. We cannot issue a certification card to any student who does not meet AHA requirements, and we will never compromise the standards that make your card meaningful.
7. Health and safety in training
CPR training involves physical activity, including kneeling and performing compressions on the floor. If you have a condition that may limit your participation, tell us before class and contact your physician if you have concerns. Our training is educational; it is not a substitute for emergency medical services. In any real emergency, call 911 first.
8. Travel services scope
We act as your travel planning agent. Transportation, lodging, and other travel services are provided by independent third-party suppliers under their own terms and conditions. You are responsible for valid passports, visas, and any health or entry requirements for your destinations. Jacalyn Allen is not liable for the acts, errors, omissions, delays, or cancellations of third-party suppliers.
9. Copyright and materials
All original course supplements, handouts, and materials published by Jacalyn Allen are protected under United States copyright law. American Heart Association materials are subject to AHA policies and are used under our instructor affiliation. You may use course materials for your own personal learning. You may not copy, distribute, resell, republish, or use any of our materials to train machine learning or AI systems. 11. Disclaimer of warranties
The site and our services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jacalyn Allen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the site or our services. Our total liability for any claim relating to a booking shall not exceed the amount you paid us for that service.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the site or future bookings if you breach these terms. Termination for breach does not entitle you to a refund.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this policy shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance.
